"Dancers deserve better and they deserve more. They have been receiving so little for so long that they think that the limited dance education they receive is all there is. They are taught that popularity makes a good teacher. That “hot” choreography makes a good teacher. That “hot” songs make a good teacher. These subjective things provide dancers with nothing viable. No trajectory towards true success. They are not being given a solid education in dance ( dance theory, music theory, kinesiology, etc.) They’re just paying to play Simon Says. This creates style clones, not style originators"
